1. Who We Are

Ukitz (ukitz.com) is a free online toolkit developed and operated by Nafees Shaikh, a software engineer based in Mumbai, India. You can contact us at shaikhnafees99@gmail.com.

2. What Data We Collect

2.1 Files You Upload

Server-processing tools send your files, entered text and processing options to our servers. This includes Regex Tester, which sends the pattern and sample text for processing. Job files are stored in per-job directories; job metadata is stored in a database. Please review each tool’s processing details before submitting sensitive information. For server jobs:

• Files are used to perform the requested operation and deliver the result
• Download access expires at the job’s expiry time
• The default job expiry is 30 minutes from job creation. Expiry is separate from physical deletion: a scheduled cleanup removes expired files, normally on its next five-minute cycle. Service interruptions may delay cleanup.
• For File Transfer, download links expire after 15 minutes; scheduled cleanup removes the expired files.

Browser-based tools such as JSON Formatter, Base64 Converter and Hash Generator perform their core operation locally. That does not prevent ordinary website requests for pages, assets or configured measurement services. Do not assume every tool runs locally.

2.2 Technical Log Data

Our servers automatically record standard web server logs, which may include your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and the date/time of requests. This data supports security monitoring, troubleshooting and server administration. Infrastructure logs and job metadata are separate from uploaded files and are not covered by the file-expiry timer. Contact us for information about the applicable retention settings.

2.3 Cookies and Analytics

Ukitz uses Google Tag Manager to manage configured measurement tags. Tag Manager is not itself a description of every tag: collection depends on the enabled services and consent settings. These services may receive technical information such as IP address, device information and page visits. Do not enter personal information into page URLs.

Browser storage may retain application assets, preferences or editor state on your device. You can clear site data using your browser settings; this may remove saved preferences.

2.4 Advertising

If Google advertising is enabled, Google and other advertising partners may place and read cookies or use web beacons, IP addresses and other identifiers to deliver, measure and, where permitted with the required consent, personalize ads. See how Google uses information from partner sites and Google’s advertising controls. Advertising must not be enabled until the required consent mechanism is configured. Uploaded file content and entered tool text must not be sent to advertising services.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect only to:

• Deliver the requested tool output (process and return your file)
• Maintain the security and reliability of our service
• Understand aggregate usage patterns to improve Ukitz

We do not sell your uploaded files or use their content to target advertisements. Technical website data may be processed by the services described in this policy.

4. Third-Party Services

Ukitz may rely on the following third-party infrastructure for hosting and delivery:

• Cloud hosting provider — our servers are hosted on a cloud platform. Our infrastructure providers process data needed to host and operate the service. Container isolation is not a guarantee that a hosting provider cannot access stored data.

No file content is shared with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-processing services.

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable data protection law (including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK GDPR, and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)), including:

• The right to access information we hold about you
• The right to request deletion of your data
• The right to object to processing
• The right to data portability

Use the tool’s Delete now action where available to remove job files before expiry. File deletion does not necessarily remove infrastructure logs or job metadata. For enquiries, contact us at shaikhnafees99@gmail.com.

7. Children's Privacy

Ukitz is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Changes to this policy do not replace consent where consent is required.
